Privacy Policy
Effective June 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information LAWPR.AI — the lawyer directory for legal services in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico — collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is part of, and should be read together with, our Terms and Conditions. By using LAWPR.AI you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accept this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy does not create additional rights either to YOU as a client customer or participating attorneys and law firms of the directory, except as may be provided by law. Rather, it explains the privacy policy in the context of the terms and conditions included in LAWPR.AI. This Privacy Policy also provides to YOU information regarding your rights and your obligations. It also provides to YOU basic information regarding contacting attorneys and law firms, the best way to proceed regarding your legal needs and how to establish an ATTORNEY CLIENT relationship with the attorney or law firm of your choice. YOU should establish an ATTORNEY CLIENT relationship with the attorney or law firm of your choice as soon as you identify that you need legal assistance.
LAWPR.AI is operated by DIRECT WEB SERVICES, INC., a marketing and technology company organized as a Puerto Rico registered corporation in Puerto Rico’s Department of State, Office of Corporations. In this Policy, “LAWPR.AI”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that operator, and “YOU” has the same meaning given to it in the Terms and Conditions.
This privacy policy applies to our site and services on which we display or post a direct link to this privacy policy. This privacy policy does not apply to those sites and services that do not display or link to this privacy policy, or that have their own privacy policies. However, we may expand our business and include this directory as part of a larger Attorney directory with multiple jurisdictions. If additional jurisdictions are included in the future, other privacy policies may apply. Before any such change, members of LAWPR.AI will be notified.
You can contact our Data Protection Officer by sending an email to or by writing to: admin@lawpr.ai
Information We Collect
We collect only the necessary information needed to operate the directory effectively, connect consumers with Puerto Rico Licensed legal professionals, and maintain attorney and firm listings. Specifically:
- Contact and lead information. When you use a contact, lead, or “contact this lawyer” form, we collect the name, email address, and the message or description of the legal matter that you choose to provide. This information is used to relay your inquiry to the legal professional you selected only. The message is not shared with any other legal professional or law firm.
- Lawyer, firm, and account information. If you register as an attorney, legal professional, or law firm, we collect your email address and account credentials, together with the profile information you choose to publish — such as your name, photo, practice areas, languages, business address, phone number, website, biography, and the municipalities you wish to promote based on your contracted service. For licensed attorneys we also collect the RUA number. We do not publish the RUA number. If a person is interested in obtaining the RUA number of any attorney listed, contact the Office of the Secretary, Supreme Court of Puerto Rico.
- Payment information. Paid attorney profiles (paid listings) are processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). Card and bank details are entered directly with the payment processor; LAWPR.AI does not collect or store full payment-card numbers on its own servers. We retain limited records of a transaction, such as the plan purchased and its status. It is important that in case you want to make a claim, that you provide us with a copy of your evidence of payment, in case we have no record of such payment.
- Technical and usage information. Like most websites, we and our hosting provider keep basic server logs (for example, IP address, browser/user-agent, requested pages, and timestamps) and basic analytics needed to operate, secure, and improve the website.
- Information published by you. Any information that you choose to publish in your public listing is, by design, visible to anyone who uses the directory. It is the same information that you have provided.
How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate the directory and display attorney, firm, location and practice-area listings.
- Relay consumer inquiries and leads only to the legal professional you select. This is an automated process not a manual process. Clients contact legal professionals directly; LAWPR.AI does not screen clients or leads. It is up to the client to select the attorney or law firm of choice. It is up to the attorney and/or law firm to promptly and professionally respond to client inquiries. Clients are free to select the attorneys and law firms that they want to entrust their legal needs to.
- Create, authenticate, and maintain attorney and firm accounts, and let account holders publish and update their listings. We will publish what you provide. Periodically you should verify that the information regarding your listing is current, to include all contact information.
- Process payments for paid listings and keep records of plan status and service level.
- Operate, secure, monitor, debug, and improve the website and its technology.
- Communicate with you about your account, your inquiry, the service or any concern that you may have.
- Comply with applicable laws and respect and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell client leads.
How Information Is Shared
We share information only as needed to run the attorney directory service:
- With the legal professional you contact. The contents of a lead or contact form are relayed directly to the attorney, legal professional, or law firm you selected so they can respond to you. You should verify any legal professional before contracting, as described in the Terms and Conditions. You can also attempt to call or write to the attorney of your choice, if you choose to communicate directly with the attorney or law firm.
- With service providers (processors). We rely on third parties that process information on our behalf, including our payment processor (Stripe), our email/SMTP delivery provider, and our hosting and storage provider. These providers may only use the information to perform services for us.
- For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information where we believe it is required to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, protect the rights, property, or safety of LAWPR.AI, our users, or the public, or to investigate or prevent fraud or security violations, as further described in the Terms and Conditions.
- We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites that you may reach through links on LAWPR.AI; their use is at your own risk, as stated in the Terms and Conditions.
- We make every attempt using the latest AI technology to provide to YOU a means to connect with a Puerto Rico licensed attorney or law firm of your choice.
International Data Transfer and Consent
LAWPR.AI is intended for the Puerto Rico legal services industry market. If you are located outside the United States, you acknowledge that the personal information that you provide to us is being transferred to, stored, processed, and accessed in the place that from time to time LAWPR.AI selects (United States, Europe, etc.). When you submit any personal information to us, you consent to such transfer and all related transfers (for example, to payment processors, data hosting and storage providers, and data analytics service providers). We make no representation that the website or any service is appropriate or available for use outside of the United States of America.
Cookies and Local Storage
We use a small number of cookies and similar browser storage that are necessary for the site to properly function:
- A language-preference cookie that remembers whether you are viewing the site in English or Spanish.
- An authentication cookie that keeps attorney and firm account holders signed in while they manage their listing.
- Cookies or storage strictly necessary for security and the basic operation of the website.
We do not use these cookies to build advertising profiles. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; if you do, parts of the site (such as staying signed in or keeping your language choice) may not work as expected. This may also affect if a client is trying to contact you directly using our website.
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this Policy. Listing and account information is retained while your account is active. If you ask to close your LAWPR.AI account, we will proceed to close it, but we may retain account information in our database, including for recordkeeping, security, dispute-resolution, and legal-compliance purposes, as stated in the Terms and Conditions. Server logs and similar technical records are kept for a limited period.
We may retain your personal or law firm information as necessary to provide services to you and to carry out the purposes described in this policy. Additionally, we may retain certain information collected from you if retention is reasonably necessary to comply with legal or regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or for another business purpose.
Client Contact Information:
It is our policy not to share nor to retain client contact information, unless necessary to maintain our web site. We will not share client contact information, regardless if the client decided to contact you and provided incorrect contact information.

Attorney and law firm listings in LAWPR.AI as per the terms and conditions are voluntary and we publish the information that the attorney or law firm provides based on the level of marketing contracted (Free listing, Gold or Platinum) pricing and terms and conditions. We do not add an attorney or law firm unless, the attorney and law firm has voluntarily requested inclusion in the directory. If you choose to delist (eliminate your name and/or your law firm from appearing in LAWPR.AI., even if it is a free listing, we will comply with your request. We will comply as soon as possible. We reserve the right to personally contact you to ensure that YOU actually want to delist. We aim to please. Again, please cooperate with us if we do have to contact you. The fact that YOU are no longer a client, attorney or law firm listed in LAWPR.AI, does not change the Terms and Conditions of LAWPR.AI, with respect to the legal relationship between YOU and LAWPR.AI. LAWPR.AI will always retain all its rights, and will enforce all Terms and Conditions as per the current LAWPR.AI website.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, and Attorney and Law Firms (account holders) are responsible for keeping their login and password confidential. CONSUMERS: LICENSED PUERTO RICO ATTORNEYS; ATTORNEY – CLIENT RELATIONSHIP; STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS:
LICENSED PUERTO RICO ATTORNEYS. The purpose of LAWPR.AI is to provide YOU with a list of Attorneys and Law Firms that practice law in a legal specialty area that YOU may need in the location that you may need. That is the extent and purpose of the LAWPR.AI. LAWPR.AI provides the information to YOU. It is up to YOU to decide the attorney and or law firm that you want to interview and hire. YOU should contact an attorney or law firm of your choice as soon as possible, since YOU have NO GUARANTEE that the attorney or law firm is going to be willing to work with you. A delay in contacting an attorney or law firm may have a negative effect on your legal rights and on a legal outcome.
ATTORNEY CLIENT RELATIONSHIP: NO LEGAL RELATIONSHIP. When initially contacting an attorney or law firm, either via LAWPR.AI or directly, the best practice is to provide basic information to the attorney or law firm, in order to explain your legal needs and for them to determine if they can provide legal assistance or not. You should never share highly sensitive details beyond what is needed to basically describe the legal matter and entities involved. Sensitive information can be shared with the Attorney or Law firm of your choice after YOU both agree to work together. At this moment is when an ATTORNEY CLIENT relationship is created. Again, the fact that YOU contact an attorney or law firm, this act alone DOES NOT create any ATTORNEY CLIENT relationship.
Your Right to Correct Inaccurate Information
Before we publish your voluntary profile, we make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information that we will be promoting in LAWPR.AI is accurate.
You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate personal information about YOU, taking into account the nature of the personal information and the purposes of processing your personal information, the terms and conditions and the level of marketing services that you have contracted, if any.
Once we receive and verify your consumer request, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to correct (and direct our service providers to correct) inaccurate information from our records, unless it is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under Applicable Data Privacy Laws. Accordingly, and unless permitted by the Applicable Data Privacy Laws, we will not:
- deny you goods or services;
- charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, including through the use of discounts or by imposing penalties unless the level of service you are requesting mandates the payment by YOU of a different price;
- provide you a different level or quality of goods or services; or
- suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services. However if we feel that the level of service requested does not match with your current level of service, we will suggest a change. We may charge a different price or rate or provide a different level of service if the difference is reasonably related to the value provided by your personal information.
Children’s Privacy
LAWPR.AI is intended for adults seeking or providing legal services and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Terms and Conditions also prohibit publishing content that depicts minor children.
We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers that we know are minors under 16 years of age without affirmative authorization as required under Applicable Data Privacy Laws.
Bonafide Clients
Since we do not pre screen messages that you will receive, nor customers that may directly contact you or your law firm, please verify each instance a client contacts you to ensure it is a Bonafide, potential client.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may revise or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Effective” date below. Your continued use of LAWPR.AI after a change means that you accept the updated Policy and the Terms and Conditions.
